Sustaining
Adhere to your goals and reflect on what worked.
Step 5.
Theoretically, we’ve come to the final step, sustaining. Also, it is known as self-discipline. Is the work getting done? Take time for reflection. What is working well for you? How about your helpers? Do you see progress?
- It’s all about thoughtfully sticking to those first three steps. It is about creating a new habit. It just doesn’t happen the first week or month, but longer.
- Are you performing the tasks quickly?
- Are tasks being performed according to your steps?
- Are you following the written steps?
- It’s all about thoughtfully sticking to those first three steps. It is about creating a new habit. It just doesn’t happen the first week or month, but longer.

It would help if you thought long-term but don’t overwhelm yourself. I’ll use Legos as an example just because they’re fun. When building a Lego set, you start on the first page with two or three Legos to put together. Once you’ve done that, you will go to the next page with another two or three Legos. After a while, you’ve built something with structure. That’s what you are doing; you are making progress. Look, this isn’t going to take one day but a lifetime. I’m still learning new things and newer ways of improving. It’s all about creating, learning, and maintaining your goals. Most of all, it is about reflection. You can do whatever you want – always remember that.
